Overview

Estimate how much your savings could grow to by retirement, combining your current savings with regular monthly contributions — and see what that amount is worth in today's money after inflation.

Formula

Corpus from current savings = S × (1 + r)^Y
Corpus from monthly contributions = P × [ ((1 + i)^n − 1) / i ] × (1 + i)
Today's Value = Total Corpus ÷ (1 + inflation)^Y

Where:

  • S = current savings
  • r = expected annual return rate
  • Y = years until retirement
  • P = monthly contribution
  • i = expected monthly rate of return (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100)
  • n = number of monthly contributions (years × 12)

How to use this calculator

  1. Enter your current age, planned retirement age, and current savings.
  2. Enter how much you contribute monthly and your expected annual return.
  3. Enter an expected inflation rate to see your corpus in today's purchasing power.

Note

This calculator assumes a constant rate of return and inflation for illustration — real markets fluctuate year to year. Use it to compare scenarios and set savings targets, not as a guaranteed outcome.
