Overview
Estimate how much your savings could grow to by retirement, combining your current savings with regular monthly contributions — and see what that amount is worth in today's money after inflation.
Formula
Corpus from current savings = S × (1 + r)^Y
Corpus from monthly contributions = P × [ ((1 + i)^n − 1) / i ] × (1 + i)
Today's Value = Total Corpus ÷ (1 + inflation)^Y
Where:
- S = current savings
- r = expected annual return rate
- Y = years until retirement
- P = monthly contribution
- i = expected monthly rate of return (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100)
- n = number of monthly contributions (years × 12)
